The Tennessee Automotive Association Self Insurers' Trust was developed in 1991 to provide a stable and affordable source for workers' compensation to auto dealers across the state of Tennessee. Today, the trust provides workers' compensation protection to over 300 new automobile, truck and recreational vehicle dealerships in the state with combined premiums exceeding six million dollars.   

We hope you will take a few moments from your day to learn about the advantages of obtaining your workers' compensation coverage through the Tennessee Auto Association Self Insurers' Trust (TAASIT).  

The premiums that participants contribute to the TAASIT are used to pay the claims and administrative expenses for the group.  Any surplus, including investment income earned, deposits and premiums, not needed by the trust is used to maintain rate stability over the long term or returned to the participants as dividends. Aggressive claims investment policy stabilize the premiums you pay from year to year. As a result of these efforts, the trust has not increased rates in three years and has returned $15.0 million to participants of the trust. One of the major advantages of the trust over a traditional plan is this profit sharing feature.
